(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konqueror
Version: 2.2.2 (using KDE 2.2.2 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Mandrake Linux 8.1 i586 - Vitamin
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Mandrake Linux 8.1 2.96-0.62mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.161yama
OS/Compiler notes:

I think it would make sense if directories in the Directory Tree and the Extended Sidebar could be deleted with the 'Delete' key once they have been highlighted. Windows Explorer works in this way and it is one thing I miss about it even though I dumped WinDOS 3 years ago.

This bug looks really old, but the issue is still there. I find it strange and inconvenient to not be able to delete files from the tree view in the pane on the left side of konq window.

Bug consolidation: This one is more general.
