Screenshot of layer toolbox, layer 2 unlocked

Description stephanhock 2016-08-13 19:26:44 UTC
When selecting an already existing layer (no new layer), the selected layer unlocks itself. The unlock-button next to the layer name (as seen in the various tutorials) is not present, as well as the other small buttons in the layer toolbox.
The layer-unlock function might just be hidden or in another place than in v2, respectively, and I just can't find it.
However, I couldn't figure it out by myself...

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create new project in default settings
2. add layer, work on it, then add new layer, continue until at least three layers with drawings
3. choose "older" layer from the newes one

Actual Results:
sometimes the newly chosen older layer locks itself

Expected Results:
it shouldn't lock itself

The layer docker with lock icon

Hi,

As you can see from the screen, I cannot confirm that there isn't a layer lock icon. Can you attach a screenshot of your layer docker?

First I inserted 3 layers, then worked on the second, then the third. When trying to select the second layer again, it's unlocked!

Maybe the icons are missing in the distribution package. As you can see there are also icons missing in the top right button.

Are you using the package from your distribution or the appimage?

It's the version from the Linux Mint package. Shall I try to download it directly from your site?
Comment 6 Sven Langkamp 2016-08-15 19:43:38 UTC
Yes, try the appimage version (no installation required) and check if the icons show up with that.

It worked! All the icons are there now and the app works finde.
Thanks guys!

Maybe report that on the Mint bugtracker. Other people may have the same problem.
