Description Enol P. 2016-08-05 03:09:33 UTC
The key combination for typing áÁéÉíÍóÓúÚüÜ does not working by setting "España - asturianu (ast_ES)" locale and "Asturian (Spain, with bottom-dot H and bottom-dot L)" keyboard layout in any KDE application, GTK applications work fine with it. On the other hand, Ḥḥ, Ḷḷ and Ññ Asturian letters are typed correctly in KDE and GTK applications.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set system locale to "España - asturianu (ast_ES)" in Regional Settings
2. Set keyboard layout to "Asturian (Spain, with bottom-dot H and bottom-dot L)" in Input devices -> Keyboard -> Layouts
3. Open any KDE app and try to type any accented áÁéÉíÍóÓúÚüÜ using the correct key combination

Actual Results:
áÁéÉíÍóÓúÚüÜ are not showed in any KDE app. If you try to write one of them, they are shown as aAeEiIoOuUuU

Expected Results:
áÁéÉíÍóÓúÚüÜ must be showed correctly using the correct key combination

<sitter> Riddell: I am actually thinking that's either KCM or platform. probably platform. I'd bounce it to keyboard kcm and note that this might be platform problem to be filed with ubuntu

Not a KDE or Qt issue https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/lib/libx11/merge_requests/3
