Kbibtex seems to hang after:
kbibtex.program: Located KPart service: "kbibtexpart" with description "KParts component to view and edit bibliographic files"


Then trying to open a file (bibtex format):
kbibtex.program: Could not instantiate part for service "BibTeX Viewer and Editor" (mimeType= "text/x-bibtex" , error msg= "The shared library was not found." )

It is quite likely that you have an incomplete installation of KBibTeX. The shared library not found is most likely kbibtexpart.so which needs to be placed where the KDE subsystem can locate it. Please see the instruction as detailed at:

1. No update on bug report
2. Works for me and no other user has reported a similar problem.
