Description Freek de Kruijf 2016-07-28 13:22:35 UTC
After setting Fancy Headers in menu View->Headers and leaving KMail/Kontact this setting is not preserved in the next invocation of Kontact/Kmail. It starts with the setting KMail 5.2.

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Michal Hlavac 2016-09-19 07:29:54 UTC
as workaround edit ~/.config/kmail2rc and search for entry header-plugin-style-name.
Proper values are:
custom
all-headers
brief
enterprise
fancy
grantlee
long-header
standards-header

There is no such entry in this file.
Comment 3 Michal Hlavac 2016-09-19 09:34:27 UTC
ok, so create one in [Reader] section.
Comment 4 Freek de Kruijf 2016-09-19 10:11:28 UTC
Thanks, the workaround works!
Comment 5 Alex6 2017-02-26 21:07:19 UTC
Not only fancy headers are not kept.
All view>headers options disappeared! but "kmail 5.2"
(for example it is impossible to view all receivers of a message, to get non us date)
kmail 5.4.2, Linux Manjaro 64
Comment 6 Laurent Montel 2017-02-27 06:20:21 UTC
Please install kdepim-addons
Comment 7 Freek de Kruijf 2017-03-07 17:50:13 UTC
Using kmail2 5.4.2 from packet kmail version 16.12.2-1.1 and having installed kdepim-addons packet version 16.12.2-1.1, I still need to set Fancy headers each time I start kmail/kontact or to set the workaround.
Comment 8 Allen Winter 2017-03-29 12:24:54 UTC
happens for me as well in version 5.4.3. I do have kdepim-addons installed.
Comment 9 Freek de Kruijf 2022-06-27 09:50:37 UTC
Apparently no longer relevant.
