*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 365410 *** I have compiled the latest git snapshot from source last week and can confirm that this has been indeed addressed. Thanks! Just to know, did you compiled digiKam & co for Windows ? Did you use MXE ? Gilles Caulier Yes, I compiled digiKam for the `win32` target based on the instructions in `project/mxe/README`. My main wish for improvements would probably be to be able to use the precompiled MXE dependencies from their repos instead of having to compile QtWebkit (and everything else) myself. I needed 4 tries to compile it, since the compilation kept causing OOMs. Other than that it was surprisingly smooth sailing. >to use the precompiled MXE dependencies from their repos
There are precompiled binaries repositories in MXE project ? Where are the details about on the web ?
Yes, MXE is really a great improvement to compile open source project for Windows, without to have M$ OS + M$ compiler...

Sorry for ignoring you… > There are precompiled binary repositories in MXE project ? Where are the details about on the web ? I don't know whether this is documented anywhere, but the Debian repository definitely has a lot of useful stuff (I think it's everything digiKam uses MXE for): http://pkg.mxe.cc/repos/apt/debian/pool/main/m/ [A few minutes later] Actually http://pkg.mxe.cc documents the MXE binary distribution reasonably well. There is also a distribution with `.tar.xz` archives (http://pkg.mxe.cc/repos/tar/) available; no rpm through. |
