In more complex composition projects, Kdenlive's automatic transitions often do more harm than good. While each transition can be switched manually to non-automatic after it has been created, this severely hampers any workflow. Please offer means to switch off creation of transitions as automatic:
1. Using a global Kdenlive configuration option.
2. Using a toggle button in the timeline status bar, similar split/snap/...

I second this request. I always turn off automatic transitions for my projects as it doesn't fit my needs.
I favor the idea of a global default in the configuration.

Patch is on its way.
1. Adds status bar button for quickly toggling betwwen creating new transitions as automatic or not.
2. Adds corresponding Kdenlive config option to tab timeline.
3. Fix for correctly handling cooy and paste of non-automatic transitions.
