To investigate > which crash you get, please add the information from crash dialog to this > bug ticket. > > For more information, please see > https://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/ > How_to_create_useful_crash_reports I use KDE Plasma 5.5.5 version of Qt : 5.5.1 Kernel : 4.4.0-31 generic OS : 64 bits CPU : 2 x AMD A4-6300 with Radeon HD Graphics Memory : 5 Go The screen is connected in HDMI (but the problem exists also on a notebook, and the screen is not in HDMI) When i use my computer this morning, the problem arrived very quickly, when i used Thunderbird . Thunderbird refused to close by : --> File --> Close. So i close my session. As it was the beginning of the day. I thought it will be interesting to have snapshots of the different log files : so i attach them to this response. A strange thing : when an application like Dolphin (yesterday) had the same problem, it accepts to close by : File --> Close ... BUT in the taskbar it appears (image1) Additional information : when i restart my session, after this problem, the screen definition changes and return to the maximal definition of the screen. I currently use 1024 * 768 Please ask for help in a forum of your distribution. The files you attached were not requested with comment #1. Additionally, please ask for help in a forum of your distribution how to update Plasma and Qt from PPA backports. The Plasma and Qt versions you are using are outdated. The Plasma and Qt versions you are > using are outdated. I have updated Plasma, and all seems to be correct Like Plasma is needed by KDE, i supposed the upgrade was automatic with standard update.
