Description Michail Vourlakos 2016-07-14 00:41:44 UTC
It would be very useful for the user to be able to hide the time totally in favor for the date in the digital clock plamoid in order to support cases like the one in the screenshot I have attached

Reproducible: Always

I'm not up for adding that to the clock applet, it makes it possible to make the clock invisible with a bad config.

However - we have a separate calendar applet, which currently has a fairly useless compact mode - we could turn that into showing the date when it's in the panel.

I made the calendar applet show the current day or weekday but agreed it could/should show the ful date.
