Description dave.kimble 2016-07-12 05:54:30 UTC
In Lubuntu 14.04 this worked fine - clicking on Network brings up "remote:/" in the Location bar, and 3 entries "Network", "Samba Shares", "Add Network Folder".

In 16.04 clicking on Network is dead - nothing happens. Typing "remote:/" into the Location bar produces "Invalid protocol".

I have Samba servers running on all PCs on the LAN, and servers' firewalls are all open to LAN.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. On Lubuntu 16.04 with Dolphin 15.12.3 installed from Ubuntu Xenial repository
2. Launch Dolphin
3. Click on Network

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
Should bring up Location = "remote:/"

This is a distro-specific issue or else a bug that's already been fixed.
