Is this still the case? I've not upgraded to 16.08 yet, waiting on the distro. On 16.04, it's still the case. Is there a reason to think it's fixed? I've not seen any other report of it. *** Bug 367677 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** As if on cue...another report. Can either of you upload your ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc Created attachment 100730 [details]

lower edge panel plasma configuration which as clock with overlapping text
This is the buggy configuration. The previous configuration was for a vertical panel which has no bugs.
I applied your config - worked for me... can I see your kdeglobals, maybe the font selection makes a difference? *** Bug 361093 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Is anyone still experiencing this with a more recent version of Plasma (e.g. 5.12 or 5.13)?
