When I try and download the new version of kmymoney 4.8. it will not open. i get the message about not being registered. I'am using the last version of Kmymoney 4.7 right now. How do I update to the new version. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to kde website 
2.click on download 
3.select the new version 4.8 

Actual Results:  
it downloads but when i open it i get a message about not registered Iam using kmymoney ver. 4.7 right now and it downloaded fine. How do I upgrade to 4.8 when it will not open after i download it. 

Expected Results:  
open and downloaded it did not

i'am using windows 10 on my computer

You already filed a bug - use that one.  No need for duplicate reports.

Still can not download KmyMoney 4.8 everytime I try it does not download or open.

Devels:  there appears to be no 4.8.0 download for windows.  The windows download still points to 4.7, and the 4.8 download points to source.

James:  please tell us EXACTLY what you have tried.  What link are you clicking on https://kmymoney.org.  Right now, the download link points to a source file, which won't help you on Windows.  The windows download link points to 4.7.2, which is probably what you are currently running.  Also, please post EXACT

Also, please post any EXACT error message you get, it doesn't help to just say it doesn't work.

So KDE Money 4.8 can not be used in Windows 10. or how do I download the new Version 4.8 then?

Unless you can compile it yourself, I suspect you will just have to keep checking the web page for an announcement.  In the past, only one person has succeeded in compiling it for Window, although I believe multiple people are currently trying to do so.  The problem is that the entire effort related to KDE on windows is going towards the Frameworks migration effort, and 4.8 is still pre-frameworks, so it is difficult to get assistance with any problems that arise.

The MS-Windows version of KMyMoney 4.8 was generated and uploaded yesterday. The link on the kmymoney.org website has been updated. Please use https://sourceforge.net/projects/kmymoney2/files/KMyMoney-Windows/4.8.0/kmymoney-x86-setup-4.8.0.exe/download to download the installer.
