missing app icons
Comment 2 Konrad Materka 2016-07-12 08:06:28 UTC
I can confirm. Icon is missing for "external" apps like Skype or Rocket.Chat+. After uninstalling sni-qt and sni-qt:i386 Skype icon is rendered correctly but Rocket.Chat+ icon is still missing.

I'm using Neon User 5.7

Same here for Whatsie and Gettho Skype (also a neon user speaking)

What Qt version?
Comment 5 avlas 2016-07-13 19:22:21 UTC
Qt5: 5.7.0 (Not sure you need it, but for the case Qt4: 4:4.8.7)

Neon user here, Chrome/Chromium and Slack icons are missing too...
Comment 8 Konrad Materka 2016-07-21 13:29:54 UTC
Looks that in Plasma 5.7.2 problem is fixed. Icon for Rocket.Chat+ is rendering correctly. Also Skype with and without sni is working correctly.
Comment 9 Julien Barnier 2016-07-21 17:34:04 UTC
Unfortunately, Chromium and Slack icons are still missing for me with Plasma 5.7.2 (latest KDE Neon user). I've tried both with and without sni-qt, but neither work.
Comment 10 Konrad Materka 2016-07-27 11:55:53 UTC
I don't know exactly what fixed it, but I had Plasma 5.7.2 + KDE Frameworks 5.24+git20160712 and problem was gone. When I downgraded Frameworks to pure 5.24 icons are missing.
Comment 11 Julien Barnier 2016-08-16 13:34:51 UTC
Fixed for me too with last update to KDE Neon user with KDE Frameworks 5.25.
