Also having this bug, would nice to get some sort of recognition from developers As a workaround for now you can download the newest Qt Creator from their official website as deb-file and just install it somewhere in your home directory with apt or the graphical installer (for that make sure that you have installed qapt-deb-installer): https://www.qt.io/download-open-source/#section-2 (scroll down) But I also hope, that Qt Creator gets integrated officially in the near future. Maybe one of the developers could briefly explain, why it's not working at the moment. @Roman, is there a deb file in the link you provided? I only found QT Creator binary files with a .run extension. They install and work fine, but do not integrate with the package management in the system (as expected). waiting on archive rebuilder feature to add it to our archives in the mean time use binaries from Qt I have the same problem since i installed the kubuntu-ppa/backports-landing. Since this update, I am not able to install qtcreator because of unresolved dependencies:
