package details appearing on top of Discover's list of packages to update
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 362538 *** |
I'm running KDE Frameworks 5.22.0 & QT 5.5.1 from the KDE backport PPA on Kubuntu 16.04. If I click on a package needing update in Discover, its details display on top of the list of packages, and thereafter I can't operate the [Update] or other buttons. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Wait until the Plasma notification icon's pop-up displays "Updates available" 2. Click the [Update] button in the pop-up. 3. When Discover opens, as soon as the list of packages to update appears, click the name of any package with an update. 4. In the header "System Update" > {package name}, click System Update. Actual Results: The details of the package display on top of the list, see attachment. In the header I can't click System Update to clean up the display. Expected Results: The package details should not appear on top of the list. This has always happened to me when I seek details about a package update. But when filing this bug I waited a long time with Discover open, and then when I clicked I saw an animation of the list going away, replaced by the package's details. So the key is clicking on a package in the list soon after it draws. The garbled display looks like attachment 98726 [details] to bug 362538.
