kscreen-console bug

Description budimanjojo 2016-06-16 13:41:28 UTC
So I have a dual monitor with same resolution, identical monitors. Whenever I maximize window on my right monitor, the left edge of the windows always missing some pixels. This is very irritating when maximizing a terminal on my right monitor because the first letter can't be read. See the screenshot I made.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open window on right monitor
2. Maximize it

Actual Results:
The left edge of the window is being cut a little

Expected Results:
Displaying the full window

It appears that the screenshot is showing how it should be displayed. But what my eyes actually see is different, see the second screenshot.

Could you attach debugging information as outlined on https://community.kde.org/Solid/Projects/ScreenManagement#Debugging_Information please?

There's no ~/.config/QtProject/qtlogging.ini in my system. Only ~/.config/QtProject.conf. I'll attach it here. Also the output of kscreen-console bug and my ~/.local/share/kscreen/

If qtlogging.ini doesn't exist, create it and put the said content in it.

That said, I don't see anything obviously wrong with the configuration.

Created the file and rerun the kscreen-console bug and it still gives me the same output, so what else should I do?

Just found out that is caused by my monitor which happens to be some kind of TV + monitor thingy that overscan the resolution a little bit with VGA cable. So this is not KDE problem, closing. Thanks :)
