Hello!

When I fill an Elliptical, Outline or Polygonal selection with a Freehand Brush Tool and erase it again it sadly doesn't erase everything. A thin line remains. Only the Rectangular Selection tool works perfectly.

I also can't fill any selection with the Fill tool (this was possible in 2.7.)

Untoggle anti-aliasing for this in the selection menu.

I can fill selections with the fill tool just fine though, check your tool options?

I've untoggled anti-aliasing and now it works now. Thanks for your help :).

Ah, now I see why I thought that the fill tool didn't work.
In 2.9.11 you press the "E" key to set the erase mode. Then you can see in the toolbar that the "Set eraser mode" icon is selected and the Blending Mode switched from "Normal" to "Erase".

In 3.0 only the "Set eraser mode" icon is selected and the Blending Mode says "Normal" when you press the "E"/erase key. I'm sure there is a reason for this change, but what is it?

The fill tool works perfectly (sorry!). I got confused.

- now (sorry for the typo)
*sigh, no possibility to edit/delete your comments on the bugtracking page !?
