Did you test this with the 3.0 release builds, or the ones from https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/krita/krita-2016-lets-make-text-and-vector-art-awesome/posts/1594853 ? As to why "it works with tool X, so it is fine!" isn't relevant, read https://krita.org/item/anatomy-of-a-bug-fix/ . Paint Tool Sai probably doesn't use this call to figure out the name of the tablet; so doesn't crash. But it's still the driver that's to blame. No, but I will test. Where are the 3.0 release builds located? Uninstalling and trying this one - krita-3.0-9e17aff-x64.zip (it is from the link you sent). It works just fine with that release! Thank you!! So, am I missing out on any features with that version? Is there anyway for you guys to patch the version that most folks use? Sorry but it is relevant. One of my first questions when troubleshooting this issue would be to ask "How do you know the tablet works? Have you tried the tablet with a different software program?" That's why I am letting you know that the tablet works. I got the driver from the adesso site - http://www.adesso.com/download/download-list-4.html Thank you!! No, it's the full version, latest developer builds, so you're not missing anything. We'll be releasing the official 3.0.1 with more bug fixes end of this month, in the meantime we're fixing bugs and making development builds. Depending on how many duplicates of this issue we get, I might move that up to end of this week, though. I'm amazed at how many variants of this buggy tablet with its buggy driver have been sold. There's at least half a dozen brands that repack it. |
