I was having similar issues under Manjaro 16.06.1 Steps are the same. Error was reproducible always until I did the following. I disabled OpenGL then re-enabled it after a restart of the application. It stopped producing the error, which was originally a seg fault. However, this may potentially be unrelated, but it doesn't actually display the onion skin overlay, with or without OpenGL. I am using proprietary Nvidia Drivers for a GeForce GT 610. Side note: Sorry if this was irrelevant, I'm new to open source bug reporting. Works here, both on manjaro with radeon graphics and on mageia cauldron with intel graphics. Hi, can you please check if this bug is still reproducible in latest version of Krita.
