step 2: menu launch doesn't work
step 3: CLI launch doesn't work and shows following ...

1. menu launch fails
2. CLI launch works
3. CLI launch doesn't work

Actual Results:
kshisen doesn't launch

Expected Results:
kshisen should have launched with proper (non-default) settings ... gravity=false; solvable=true

probably broken since 
Tumbleweed&build=20160529
kshisen (15.12.3 -> 16.04.1)

Thanks for the report.
This issue was fixed a few weeks ago right after the 16.04.1 release and will be in 16.04.2 (KShisen version 1.10.1).
