Description cstark 2016-05-23 19:58:01 UTC
For streaming and seeking purposes it is very important for me to have control about keyint and min-keyint values but the exported video is always on keyint=250 and min-keyint=25 (codec default).
I'm on Kubuntu 15.10 and kdenlive-testing ppa

I tried both capabilities to set keyint (g=150 and x265opts=keyint=150 for example)
melt output is ok:
Started render process: /usr/bin... x265opts=keyint=150:colorprim=bt709:transfer=bt709:colormatrix=bt709...

on the resulting mp4 mediainfo says:
Encoding settings : wpp / ctu=64 / min-cu-si...interlace=0 / keyint=250 / min-keyint=25 ....

I did very exact codec tests in the past with ShotCut and I have converted my final encoding settings to Kdenlive. I found this issue because the Kdenlive export is heavy seek-able on my smartphone, not so for the ShotCut export.

Where is the bug? ShotCut has a more recent subsystem (mlt, lavf, x265).

Mediainfo says:
Kdenlive:
Lavf56.36.100
x265 1.7:[Linux][GCC 4.9.3][64 bit]

ShotCut:
Lavf57.25.100
x265 1.9-5-g462cfd0:[Linux][GCC 4.7.2][64 bit]

Reproducible: Always
