I never got any notifications by Discover even though the "Show a message in a popup" checkbox is checked (in the Discover's entry in the Notifications KCM). This is on a Plasma 5.6.4 archlinux box.

I do see the number of available updates if I click the Discover tray icon.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run "pkcon get-updates" when for sure there are some updates

Actual Results:  
No popup about the available updates.

Expected Results:  
Discover shows the notifications about available updates.

Possibly related to #347496 ?

I also tried to check the "Log to a file" checkbox in the KCM, and run again "pkcon get-updates" but nothing was written to the file.

I'm not really sure what's the reason, will need to investigate..
