Description Sudhir Khanger 2016-05-12 17:54:49 UTC
Starting with 5.6.2 I see whenever I open a dialog or a window for example pinentry-qt or Chrome app it fills the task manager with empty space.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Google Chrome
2. Click on Apps
3. Click on any Chrome app you have installed

I have seen this in several places including pinentry-qt and Google Chrome app opening. I can't reproduce it 100% times.

I have started seeing this from 5.6.2.

By empty space you mean the space above the kmenu icon in your screenshot?
Comment 3 Sudhir Khanger 2016-05-13 09:21:58 UTC
Yes the space between the top and menu widget. So far random things like opening a chrome window or closing Emacs window would insert the space. The space goes away either automatically or with a click here and there.

I started seeing this around 5.6.2 release.

Nothing to do with the Task Manager then, reassigning to Panel.
Comment 5 Sudhir Khanger 2016-05-28 07:59:08 UTC
It looks like the space is only inserted temporarily in vertical panel and not in the bottom horizontal panel.
Comment 6 tfkcpbsv 2016-06-11 02:33:09 UTC
I confirm the bug exists.
