Krita does not register strokes made by tablet pen. The strokes are invisible but the layer keeps on changing as it acknowledges the strokes. Mouse and Touchpad strokes are displayed correctly. The same tablet worked fine before.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Krita.
2. Work with tablet pen.

Actual Results:  
The strokes produced from tablet pen are invisible, although Krita seems to acknowledge the strokes as the screen in the Layers panel keeps changing when a stroke from tablet pen is made.

Expected Results:  
Visible tablet pen strokes.

Wacom Intuous Art Small (CTH-480)
Worked before on both Arch Linux and Ubuntu.
Tablet works perfectly in Gimp and Inkscape.

Brush presets that worked:
Airbrush_linear
Airbrush_linear_noisy

That almost sounds like the tablet response curve has got weirded up... Can you check these two things:

* move .kde/share/config/kritarc to ~/kritarc.bak and try again?
* check whether the beta appimage works?

Hi Boudewijn,

Thank you for your response. I'll try the first aption as soon as possible, but this issue also persists on beta (krita-git)

Hello again Boudewijn,

I have moved ~/.kde4/share/config/kritarc to ~/kritarc.bak and the issue still persists
The pen works on only Airbrush_linear and Airbrush_linear_noisy.

Hi,

I'm still puzzled, the logs only tell me that that everything is fine... Did you configure your tablet with xsetwacom or a gui tablet config utility? Could you try the 3.0 appimage as well?

Is openGL on for you? (settings->configure Krita->display)

Hi Boudewijn,

I have tried the beta channel (krita-git) but the tablet still did not work. Also, usually xsetwacom does not need to be installed in order for my tablet to work. The tablet worked perfectly well with Krita on Arch Linux before with the same package setup :)

OpenGL was on. Turning it off did not solve the problem.

Wait, I only now see the version: are you really using 2.9.9? If so, please try with the latest Linux 3.0 beta appimage.

I have reinstalled Arch Linux from the beginning and now the problem is solved. Seems like I missed a crucial package regarding graphics. Thank you so much for your help.
