Description brusheco 2016-05-03 14:56:18 UTC
I have a black and white image, and I want to convert white areas to be transparent.

1.I select filter>color>color to alpha, with preview selected, the output looks fine (as in, i can see the checker pattern feedback)

2.When I click "create filter mask" it applies a filter mask layer, but the checker pattern disappears (no longer transparent. Then when I hit ctrl-z it appears how it should be.

I obviously shouldn't have to press ctrl-z here. Hope this was clear, thanks.

Using version labelled (git 25ecbaf)

The functionality works like you say in 3.0. It also works the same way in 2.9.11, so it isn't a regression but a bug that has existed for a while.

thanks for checking that out Scott, I suppose I should have done the same.

I'm not seeing this bug myself. Just saying because from my POV, it can be closed, but it needs to be checked.

I think I have fixed this bug some time ago. It is not reproducible in Krita-master anymore :)
