that's a bug in the kernel module of your gpu (lost framebuffer control) and not related to kde (or even x11) at all. Thank you. I've been Googling this bug based on your description of the cause. All of the posts I've read associate it with NVIDIA, which I'm not using.

Not that this doesn't apply to INTEL. Where then, should I report this bug? - or are we stuck with it?
