Description slartibart70 2016-05-01 11:02:02 UTC
My setup is kde/plasma5 and cinnamon 2.8 on fedora23. In plasma5/systemsettings5 is have defined that i do not want any icons in my buttons.

When working in cinnamon, i start the kate editor.

Opening menus in kate like 'settings/configure kate' or 'help/about kde' the buttons are, as expected, without icons.
But, opening 'settings/configure shortcuts', there we do have icons in the buttons...

The same is true for any dialog started inside systemsettings5 when being in cinnamon-DE. systemsettings/configure does indeed show no icons on its buttons, but settings like 'applicaton style' or 'icons' (or any other you like) does show icons inside the buttons.

Very annoying....

Reproducible: Always

it's not necessary to use cinnamon-DE,
it is sufficient to switch over from 'breeze' widget style to 'gtk+ style' in systemsettings5 / application style / widget style menu while being in plasmashell5

that's an issue of the gtk+ style of Qt, that's an upstream Qt project
Comment 3 slartibart70 2016-05-04 11:21:10 UTC
ok....
So what do we need to do? Not in our control? Other bugtracker?
Please advise.
