I am running ubuntu 16.04 with kde plasma desktop. baloo_file and baloo_file_extractor begin at startup and as long as they are running, kde lags very badly, switching between windows takes about 20-30s and the entire system slows down. After killing these processes everything return to normal till reboot.

BTW I forgot to add that I am running kde v5.21. Here is the output of "konsole --version"
:~$ konsole --version
