The crash does not appear to be in Amarok, but somewhere in the underlying system, either QtNetwork, or libio. Could you please install debugging symbols for both of them and provide a new backtrace, so we get a better picture? I'd be glad to but I think I need a little bit more direction. How do I install debugging symbols for either of these packages? I'm rather new at this if you couldn't tell. Since you are using Kubuntu, you should look for the packages named -dbg in your package manager. To start I would suggest you install libqt4-dbg and kio-dbg, maybe that will be enough to get a better backtrace Looks like the latest update to Kubuntu fixed the issue; I couldn't get it to crash after installing today's update. Cool and nice to hear this is fixed now. Changing the status to WORKSFORME, as FIXED is only used together with commits to the source. |
