Since guides can only be created when the rulers are displayed, having a checkbox that shows and hides them quickly can be very useful. As it is now, in order to show/hide the rulers, one must go through the "View" menu. It's not too bad, but since there are all these quick settings in the docker, I believe it makes sense to add that there as well.

Well, I guess it could be handy, on the other hand, the docker is a bit cluttered already. It wouldn't be hard to do though.

I didn't get the impression that it was cluttered, but it could be just me. At any rate, in my opinion, "Show Rulers" is the one option painfully missing from it.
