Sentry Crash Report:

Description Sam Keeper 2016-04-12 16:29:13 UTC
I just installed the 3.0 Alpha on my Windows 8 system, overwriting version x64 2.9.7.6, and this installation wiped all of my installed bundles as well as all of my custom brushes and custom pallets. The data was NOT moved to appdata/local. As far as I can tell, it's been completely overwritten with the empty Alpha folders.

I suspect other things might have been overwritten as well but those are the pieces of the program I use frequently enough to say for sure that they've been altered.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Possibly install 2.9.7.6
2. Create a custom brush and/or import brush bundles
3. Install 3.0 Alpha
4. Feel profound relief if your brushes are still there or profound distress if they aren't

I'm categorizing this as major because the ability to save brushes seems like a "major feature," but it's worth noting that this does NOT make the program UNUSABLE, it just means that it might require work to recreate lost brushes. This could therefore plausibly be considered "Normal" rather than "Major"

We puzzled this one out together: https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#My_resource_dissapeared_with_installing_3.0.21_Did_Krita_delete_them.3F

It's a difference in resource folders issue, but now we have an faq entry for it :)

We still need to add code that migrates the settings and resources to the new location, and I even have to do some work to sanitize the location, especially on Windows.
