In a fresh install of Kubuntu 16.04 (beta2) on a ThinkPad t460s, I can connect wireless to the local WLAN, but I don't have an internet connection. It is established through LAN though. And without being able to reproduce it, it seems that after being connected through LAN for some time, the internet connection through WLAN becomes active, too.

At first it looked as if the error disappeared when I set the IPv6 settings to "ignore", but the problem returned.

I also filed a bug report here, but I figured that it's not the right place:

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect to WLAN/wireless
2. Try to visit a website or send a ping

Actual Results:  
Connected to wireless network, but no internet connection

Expected Results:  
Be connected to the internet

It seems as if today's update of network manager solved it, but I still have to confirm that.

I'm afraid that this is also a wrong place where to report your problem. Plasma-nm applet can only activate/deactivate/create/whatever connections through NetworkManager. The problem you described is in the stack below where we can do nothing about it. Better place where to report it would be NetworkManager bugzilla [1].
