Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right Click Desktop Settings
2. Open (For new wallpaper)
3. Randomly Missing Thumbnails



Thumbnails are not missing in either Dolphin or Thunar. Only when the folder is viewed through the Desktop Settings app.

Do you seem thumbnails for that file in dolphin?

Does that file open properly in gwenview?

screenshot of plasma 5.15.2 on Arch linux

The problem persists, thumbnails fail randomly. They appear on mouseover or when F5 is pressed.
