Description Janet 2016-03-31 19:29:43 UTC
My language settings are German. In dolphin I have chosen to NOT let it sort my files "natural".
It sorts e.g. 18872, 2016-01, 201601375, 50359 - which is exactly what I expect.
Gwenview and Konsole also sort files correctly 18872, 2016-01, 201601375, 50359... one digit after the other.

But the file open dialog sorts 2016-01, 18872, 50359, 201601375,...
which means it pools the single digits into multi-digit numbers i.e. uses that sorting that is called "natural" in Plasma.

When I alter some file I append a digit - 201601 e.g. gets the variants 2016011 2016012 etc. and I need them to be shown together. But in the file dialog I cannot find anything because the files which belong together are in absoulutely different positions.

In systemsettings I have set the sorting to C, everything else is German.

Can you please make the file dialog respect the user chosen sorting so that everything is consistent?

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
No "natural" sorting of files in file open dialog when sorting is C or dolphin is configured to not use "natural" sorting - or provide some option to get rid of "natural" sorting in file open dialog. Every file listers should be consistent in sorting (and in my case preferably not "natural").

I have KF 5.18-5.19, applications show 15.08-15.12 and plasma elements are from 5.5.3 to 5.5.5... So it's hard for me to tell which version I am using...

The sort order in the file choosers should now respect the setting chosen in Dolphin.
