I just built fresh today, and brush outlines produces at least two issues:
 - After picking a color cursor disappears completely while above canvas with Brush tool, until a stroke is made
 - While making a stroke brush outline is displayed as a constant 10 pixel round auto-brush instead of the true size or shape of the brush.
