Description Denis Moon 2016-03-20 10:14:42 UTC
'Show Painting Assistance' and 'Show Assistance Previews' does nothing. Assistances can be removed manually only by Assistance tool selection and picking up one by one. Mouse wheel holding leads to Krita windows looses focus.

Reproducible: Always

Hi Denis,

Thanks for your report. Here, Show Assistant does toggle the assistant visibility, but there is no checkmark next to it, which is a bug. I'm actually not sure what the other option does... The description in the manual is very similar :-)

I'm also not what you mean with "mouse wheel holding" -- is that related to assistants?

Hi Boudewijn,

Thanks for your reply!

What I mean is when you click View > Show Assistant Previews in Krita 2.9, assistant lines, or check lines (however you call it), disappear. In Krita 3.0 Pre-Alpha nothing happens. In other words, you can't get rid of the assistances you once created or opened with a file with them.

If you hold mouse wheel, you can move around canvas. Like Space + LMC. But it works now. Probably, it wasn't a Krita's bug, but f.e. Ubuntu.

I would also add one thing - if you check Show Colorspace Selector in Specific Color Selector window/dock, it makes that window/dock too wide. You can't change the width of this window/dock until you uncheck Show Colorspace Selector. It's not a bug, surely, but something about usability:)

I think the painting assistants view options should be working now. I fixed this in 3.0.1 I believe. I didn't realize there was a bug reported about this until looking through them just now. Just tested it in the latest 3.0.1.1 and it appears to work.

There was also another not related bug about color selectors that was thrown into this ticket. If there is an issue with that, open a separate issue so this ticket doesn't get confusing.
