Kate 15.08.2  Linux (x86_64) release 4.2.0-30-generic
Unable to report bug, when reporting a bug via the help menu the screen crashed every time I tried to enter text.

The bug report page said Kate had versions 3.14.3 etc, but Kate said its version was 15.08.2

Information from the bug report was not auto filled into the bug report!


The bug report system asks not to include repeat bugs, WHY? Isn't it better to let everyone report all bugs easily and categorise them latter, how is the user an expert on what is the same or important?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install kubuntu 1510
2. open kate, help menu , report bug
3. try to fill in bug

Actual Results:  
crashes bug report after entering small amount of text.


had to visit bug report web page via firefox. so was not easy to do

=> For me the bug wizard works with e.g. 16.08, please try out some newer version, e.g. from neon.kde.org.

I am sorry for the problems, thought :(
About the bug reporting policy: we are few people, for us life is much easier if users try to prefilter their bugs.

For the missing versions: thanks for the hint, I fixed that (and closed the other bug about that). Sorry for the issue.
