activities don't use the plasmoid style for selected elements like the task manager in the panel was use. In addition it is not possible to use a vertical activitie bar and the text scaling and padding is not well when use it on the desktop.

It's using a tab widget like the tabs in Kickoff

It's using the wrong widget, then. These are not tabs. Is there any reason why it shouldn't use the same representation as the Meta-Tab switcher?

That's intentional. They're tabs. Task manager entries are tabs but don't look like that anymore.

the activity list widget doesn't perform on a vertical width panel like an sidebar cause the height was scaled.
