Description cat22 2016-03-07 23:00:04 UTC
When you have a lot of files open in kate the tabs become a scrollable (left<-->right) style, instead can we make it a mulit-row style? Perhaps an option for either style so those who like it as it is wont lose their desired style. This all refers to the standard "Tab Bar" plugin (see plugin Manager in kate and select "Tab Bar"
Note: There is an alternate tab bar but its made up of buttons and looks like crap, please ignore that plugin -

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable the Tab Bar plugin
2. open a lot of text files
3. observe the tab bar doesn’t wrap to multiple rows.

I am using the latest kate version from kate-editor.org (compiled form source) and also the stock kate that comes with OpenSuse 13.1 - both are the same with respect to the tab bar

In Kate5, we have a new tabbar showing the documents. It is only single-line, but since this the default tabbar is a standard behavior, this will probably stay this way.

If you have many documents open, please use the document sidebar and the quick open feature (ctrl+alt+o). Will close this as wont-fix, since it is unlikely this will be implemented.
