The receiving directory resides on an external USB device. A move in the opposite direction is executed without any error. *** Bug 360717 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Thanks for the bug report. Could you try to install debugging packages for KIO and then generate a more detailed backtrace? Thanks for your help. Created attachment 98006 [details] attachment-22242-0.html I just installed the debugging packages for KIO and then tried to reproduce the error. When moving a file from the system disk to a directory on an external USB-disk, the error message "access denied" for the recieving directory shows again - but Dolphin does no longer crash. Contrary to the message, the file has been moved. A move in the opposite direction is working without any error. I´m afraid, my state of knowledge is insufficient to support further debugging, sorry. Dolphin 15.12.3 (Gentoo) crashed while copying a file. Maybe it was still copying when i renamed the destination file and unmounted the USB mass storage device it was on.
