I can send files from my android phone to kubuntu but i can't send files from PC to phone. As far as i know i should have an additional option when i right-click a file,but this just doesn't happen.
Even if ping works this is paired with bugs on other functionalities like remote controller not responding on touch input.

Running Kubuntu 14.04.4 with 3.13 kernel,phone is an Alcatel pop C9 with stock rom (4.2) and app is installed from play store,don't know how to retrieve its version tho.

If I remember correctly, the Dolphin file browser bundled in Kubuntu 14.04 didn't support this feature. It should work in newer versions though.
