Description Jens 2016-02-28 02:19:14 UTC
Hi,

I would like to suggest to add overlay icons for hardlinks, symlinks and any other links or reparse points.

A few month ago I changed from Windows (using Total Commander) to Kubuntu so I'm pretty spoiled with some features like this.
I hope, someone can add such a feature because it is really hard to remember thousands of hardlinks that I have been creating. Other Links are marked by italic file names but I couldn't find to add a marking feature for hardlinks.
Alternatively a feature to colourize file names according to its attributes or pattern might also be a comfortable solution.

In addition I am missing a drag'n'drop option for creating hardlinks.
Of course this function needs to proof, if a hardlink can be created (same partition/filesystem support).

Yes I know, there are tools for the Terminal which I'm already forced to use, but drag'n'drop is much more comfortable than entering complete names each time!

Thank you for reading and considering.

Jens

Reproducible: Always

Hi Justin,

actually this issue still persists.

But as this was more like a feature proposal and if nobody else seems to be missing this feature, I think it would be OK to close this "bug".

Thanks anyway.

Jens

I have split this feature request in two more specific feature requests:
