There was recently a bug fix (sorry, I couldn't find the initial bug) to have Kickoff reflect the filters enabled and disabled from the "Plasma Search" configuration window. It was working briefly, but it's not working any longer. I can confirm this on multiple machines.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Plasma Search
2. Enable & Disable desired search filters
3. Open Application Launcher and type to search

Actual Results:  
Results show up regardless of what was selected in Plasma Search

Expected Results:  
Should only show results based on what is enabled/disabled in Plasma Search.

Bug submitted while using KDE Plasma 5.5.4 on Antergos (Arch) Linux x64, kernel 4.4.1-2 ARCH.

I can also confirm this issue on Kubuntu 15.10 with KDE Plasma 5.5.4 via kubuntu-ppa/backports.
