Description Jose Gomez-Dans 2016-02-17 20:05:31 UTC
Since I installed the Neon repository on my Kubuntu 15.10 system, the Network app will ask for the password for any configured wireless networks on the system. The wireless networks get recognised, and NM tries to connect to them, but I do get a pop up dialogue window asking me to provide the password. When I do, connection quickly ensues without further problems. After I suspend my laptop (for example), I need to re-enter the wireless password.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start a KDE session
2. Make sure your wifi card is on
3. Be in range of an already configured wireless network.

Actual Results:
You get a dialogue asking you to enter the wireless network password, although it should have been remembered.

Expected Results:
The dialogue shouldn't show up, and the system should connect automatically to a known network to which the password has been saved.

Used to work fine with the Kubuntu 15.10 PPA packages, only the neon packages broke this.

I can confirm this symptoms. It is probably caused by broken wallet. The same problem arise in onwCloud client app and others.

The bug has been fixed by now. The problem was missing .desktop file of KWallet (so the kwallet client was not started)

Thanks for the information. I am marking this resolved then.
