Description Garret Wassermann 2016-02-09 18:17:08 UTC
In the main window, when you read the email, no text appears at all in the bottom pane where the body would be. If you double click the email in the list, it will open the email in a separate window where it DOES show the proper email text with the colored blocks showing it is signed by a valid signature.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Include a PGP key as default signer in KMail
2. Send a signed email to yourself
3. Read the email in KMail's main pane

Actual Results:
In the main window, when you read the email, no text appears at all in the bottom pane where the body would be. If you double click the email in the list, it will open the email in a separate window where it DOES show the proper email text with the colored blocks showing it is signed by a valid signature.

Expected Results:
The email body, with appropriate colored blocks denoting valid/invalid signature etc., should appear in the main window pane and not just in the individual email new window.

Is this only happens for singed mails? Because the signature verification can really take a while and is much faster the second time.

Yes, only happens for signed mail. I filed this ticket a few months ago and haven't noticed the problem recently (I'm running OpenSUSE Tumbleweed now), so I suspect it was either fixed in kmail or fixed in opensuse packaging. I'll mark it resolved since I can't reproduce. I'll re-open with better info/details if necessary. Thanks!
