I installed RSIBreak via `sudo apt-get install rsibreak` on Kubuntu 14.04.3 (Trusty). The RSIBreak version is 0.11. I use the Kubuntu Backports ppa, the KDE version is 4.14.13.
I configured RSIBreak to do the "Simple Gray Effect" during breaks. However, only a popup is shown during breaks. Also, "Show Plasma dashboard" and "Show slide show of images" does not work. Maybe important: I use two monitors.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Wait for the break to occur (I set short breaks to 1 minute)

Actual Results:  
Pop up is shown that tells me to relax.

Expected Results:  
The screen should be grayed out.

The configuration dialog is a bit confusing, if you want the effect and not the popup go to settings, "during breaks" and uncheck the "use popup" checkbox.

Does that fix it for you?

On 0.12 i improved a bit the wording of the configuration dialog and should be a bit less confusing.
