In the Clip Monitor, when the playback position reaches the end, pressing SPACEBAR plays it from the beginning again. Can the same thing be implemented for the Project Monitor & timeline? Would be small but helpful boost in workflow performance.

Reproducible: Always

Suggested while using Kdenlive 15.13.0.r6998.f68e444-1 on Antergos Linux 64, GNOME 3.18.

Timeline: set the timeline zone out point to the end you wish (the blue band) -> CTRL+space plays form the beginning. ALT+space loop the zone.

I suppose that is a sufficient solution. Though I still feel it's more intuitive that pressing spacebar when the cursor is at the end of the timeline plays it from the beginning, I'm good with whatever the dev's decide.
