This could be done as an additional timeline "action" element, so everyone is free to add or remove it from the timeline ... similar to the timeline length/position "action" element. I like this idea. +1 If you put your mouse over the timeline zone (on the rect in the center of the zone), a tooltip displays the duration. Is it what you need? Personally I would find it more logical/discoverable if I could hover the mouse _anywhere_ in the timeline zone (i.e. the area marked blue on the botom half of the timeline scale, not the numbered section above it). When hovering over the numbers (the top half of the this timeline scale) or any area _outside_ of the selected zone, the tooltip would have its current behaviour (show position, not length of zone). But I understand if others feel differently, and the current solution will certainly work fine for me. |
