All seems to work fine. Amarok is updating the collection and the analyser is doing its 'waves' (like every time when nothing is played.
Now I want to play some music by clicking on the 'Play/Pause-Button', or by double-clicking on a track of my collection or by opening a mp3-file with Amarok. But nothing happens. The Analyser is doing its waves like it did before and the bar where I can check and change the position in the current track just remains at 0:00. There is no crash or error.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Amarok
2. Try to play music
3.

Actual Results:  
Nothing happend.

Expected Results:  
Amarok should play music. The analyser should 'move' to the music. The bar where I can check and change the position in the current track should move from the left to the right.

I presume you do not have the gstreamer codecs for mp3, those are not shipped by default and need to be installed separately. This is not an Amarok bug, as it is totally out of our control.

FWIW: your distribution should automatically tell you that you need to install those codecs, please report this to your distribution, there is obviously some packaging error.

FWIW2: mp3 codecs are never shipped by default, as those are patent-encumbered. It is up to the user to decide whether they want to use them or not.

I visited some sites (like http://opensuse-guide.org/codecs.php) and read some articles and installed the codecs. But nothing changes!
Unfortunately I am not sure whether I've really installed all necessary codecs, but I think so. 

Then I tried to change the phonon-backend form gstreamer to vlc. I got another error (http://opensuse-guide.org/codecs.php).

FWIW: I can play MP3-files with kaffeine.

Well, Kaffeine doesn't sue Phonon, so can't be compared here. Depending on your Phonon version, you need either the codecs for gstreamer 0.10 or 1.x, which exact version of the phonon-backend-gstreamer do you have?
It would also be helpful to know which exact KDE release you are using, and which desktop...

 I hope this is helpful. What do you mean with desktop? Or how can I get that information?

Well, not everybody uses Amarok on the same platform, it also runs on other desktops :-) In your case it is plasma 4.

You need to install the bad and ugly plugins for gstreamer 1.0
