Example of Folders in the Project Bin (on the left). Doesn't look uniform with the rest of icons.
In 16.04.2 I actually kind of like it as it is. In tree view the folders are small and clips can be resized and in icon view you can have them the same size. Don't you think? If you think it works please mark this as solved. Honestly? Not really. Icon view needs a lot of work (which I've already submitted a bug for in the past), and I think the tree view with uniform icons in size looks more professional. Maybe have a way to adjust the size of folders in tree view? What if, in the Project Bin, there was a "Folder Zoom" option added, exclusive to the Tree View (it greys out if the user is in Icon View)? It could be put right below the "Zoom" in the options menu of the Project Bin, and it would behave just like the zoom, except it would affect the folder icons, exclusively. I mean, if we're saying that there are different preferences for icon size in Tree View, I think that would be a good solution, yeah? Maybe KF5's Dolphin file manager can act as a reference? If I remember correctly, then Dolphin in tree mode also scales the folder icons to fit into the same size as the file/thumbnail/preview icons. @Wegwerf, that'd be cool. Just an option to make things uniform - if it's decided that it's not best by default - would be a nice addition. After working in a new project, this issue tends to be the case when audio clips and video clips are near each other as well (I'll attach a screenshot). The text doesn't flush with the rest of the widget, and it looks much more cluttered. Created attachment 101247 [details]

I see what you mean... Me too; could definitely need some polish. At least some alignment. |
